BENEFITS OF IN-OFFICE PHYSICIAN ANESTHESIA CARE
-
HIGHEST LEVEL OF CAREYou will always have a dedicated board-certified physician anesthesiologist caring for you or your loved one. What is a board-certified physician anesthesiologist? After completing undergraduate studies, both Dr. Mill and Dr. Harris completed 4 years of medical school, 1 year of general medicine/surgery internship, and 3-4 years of residency and fellowship training specifically in anesthesiology. Both are certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. In addition, each has a decade of broad hospital- and office-based independent practice following medical school and training.
-
SIGNIFICANT SAVINGSSurgery centers and hospitals charge what are called “facility fees,” which must be paid in addition to the cost of the actual dental and anesthesia care. These fees amount to several 1000s of dollars and exceed the cost of the anesthesia care many times over. By eliminating these fees, we can provide the highest level of care in the comfort of your dentist’s office at a fraction of the cost.
-
A MORE COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENTFor most people, the dentist office provides a more comfortable environment when compared to a surgery center or hospital. In our years of experience providing care in both settings, we have found that this is particularly true for children. The process of going to sleep and waking up is much smoother and far less stressful for you and your child as compared to receiving care in what can be an overwhelming setting of a busy surgery center or hospital.
-
IDEAL CONDITIONS FOR YOUR DENTISTWhen providing care at a surgery center or hospital, your dentist is required to have the needed equipment transported into a facility not designed for dentistry. In contrast, when your dentist can work in their own office, you receive care where all the necessary staff and appropriate equipment to provide an optimal outcome are immediately available. In addition, sleeping through your procedure not only eliminates dental anxiety and procedural discomfort for you or your child, it also allows your dentist to focus entirely on providing the best possible result knowing a dedicated physician is providing for your safety and comfort.
-
LESS RED TAPEAs compared to a surgery center or hospital, the entire experience—registration process, check in, the procedure itself, recovery, and discharge from the office—is far simpler, requiring less paperwork, time, and inconvenience.
-
WE ARE HERE FOR YOUWe want to ensure that your next dental experience is phenomenal from start to finish. You will have the peace of mind of knowing that you can reach us directly both before and after your procedure should any anesthesia-related question or concerns arise.
